Ad Preview

Just for you, a sneak preview of the DE ad that will be in the Belleville High School football program:

Also, have any of you seen our ad at the Canton 6 movie theater? I admit that one is a bit far from home so I haven't visited it yet.

Home Again

Well, I've actually been home for a few days, but then I had to unpack and everything (as I'm sure many of you did too).

I was thinking, as I went through my pictures from the trip and wrote in my journal, that it would be really cool to let some other people contribute. This can happen in two ways:

1. Make your own blog and leave a comment/e-mail me the link to a Nashville/competition -related entry. I can post the link here, including a snippet of the post and/or pictures. Or, since I know several of you have MySpaces (and if you and your parent are comfortable with sharing the link to it), you can write about it there and send me that link.

2. E-mail me what you wrote and/or any pictures you want to share and I can post them directly into this blog (though if it's too long I might end up trimming it a bit).

Personally, I think it would be cool to start making a little community of DE bloggers here, so if you want to go with #1 here, go for it. If you need any help, e-mail me or whatnot. :D #2 is also great though, so just do whatever you think is best. :)

I'll also be making a separate album for Nashville-related pictures, so if you have some cool ones, please send them to me at danceextremeinfo@gmail.com and I'll add them.

For now, one of my favorite Nashville moments: I was in the dressing room in the lower level (you know, somewhere in that winding labryinth of a backstage) getting ready for one of the senior dances, and Mrs Talan was down there with Tessa, trying to get her ready for Swagger Back. However, she was stuck on the eyelashes. She couldn't understand why she was having such trouble with them, considering she's generally really good at putting them on people (including me), and was saying as much when she took a closer look at the glue she had been using. Well, not glue. Neosporin.

Hello from Nashville.

I just wanted to say a big hello to anyone out there keeping a watch on the blog. :)

My family was second (or third, maybe) to reach Nashville and check into the hotel, and guess what! The pool is closed. D: Don't worry, it'll be opened as soon as it's done filling up (which should be the end of today or maybe tomorrow). The hot tub is open, though, and I know a few DE girls are already taking advantage of it. :)

The competition doesn't start until tomorrow, so this is our day to get settled and relax (and for a lot of us to make up for lost sleep from our drive down). Ask at the front desk for your fellow DE families' room numbers, but try to keep the number of prank calls to a minimum, eh? ;)

Counting Down the Days

I hope everyone has been enjoying this, er, delightfully warm weather we've been having. I for one know that I've been going to work just because the office is air conditioned. ;)

Many of us now are preparing for our drive (or flight) down to Nashville, Tennessee. Can anyone else believe how fast this snuck up on you? I still have loads to do before I'm ready to leave (which will be some time Wednesday night), and some people have already left!

At any rate, I wish everyone luck getting everything ready in a timely manner, not forgetting anything, making any last minute purchases, getting the vans and cars loaded, and not missing your flight (or losing your luggage!).

Just a reminder to everyone flying: You can NOT check your costumes at the airport! Those must be your carryon, just in case!

Just one (or two) days left! See ya'll in Nashville!
